Can you imagine trying to beat the race to expiration as a business owner? We would rather not.

One woman who runs a chocolate company received a large order of nostalgic candy bars a little too close to their expiration date.

"Crystal Regehr Westergard, the founder of Canadian Candy Nostalgia, has 133,000 Rum & Butter chocolate bars that are set to expire in June. Westergard ordered the bars from an overseas production company, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were some delays. When she finally received her orders, she got them in bulk." (Insider)

Sadly, the rate at which people were buying them was too slow. Which poses a big loss for her company, considering the date of expiration is drawing close.

Faced with this dilemma, she has reached out to a variety of industries trying to ensure that these nostalgic chocolate bars don't go to waste.

She has since gone viral over trying to get rid of them. Her inbox has flooded with requests from all over the show.

But she has chosen to hand them over to charities, and has asked people to support these charities. This way, not only do these chocolate bars make someone happy (because you know that's what chocolate does), it also goes towards a good cause.
