A successful start of something big for Miss Ballito Teen pageant
Pageants have
become an extremely great initiative in South Africa.
Many pageants provide
personal development and many educational experiences for the participants, as
well as personal growth.
The participants who made it to the finals were extremely motivated and put in a lot of work and time into their preparation.
They also participated in multiple growth programmes to build their confidence and worked hard to give back to communities.

The fascinating thing about Miss Ballito Teen is that unlike other teen pageants that only allow participants to be between the ages of 15 and 17, Miss Ballito allows participants to be 12 to 14 to enter.
As amazing as the pageant was, a few young ladies decided to stand out and “shine bright like a diamond”.

Emily Author (15) was crowned Miss Ballito Teen 2022.
Fanele Sibaya (12) blew the judges away with her confidence, which resulted in her being placed as the first Miss Ballito Pre-Teen 2022.
The judges loved the confidence and elegance that radiated from the young ladies.
There were many other young ladies who stood out and claimed amazing titles such as:
- Sphile kubone (15) – first princess in the teen section
- Siphosami Lushaba (16) – second princess in the teen section
- Amber Pillay (13) – first princess in the pre-teen section
- Nozibusiso Mthiyane (14) – second princess in the pre-teen section
- Megan Stacey (12) – Miss pre-teen philanthropic award
- Sphile Kubone – Most support on Facebook
- Siphosami Lushaba – Most support on Instagram

This pageant is a great initiative because it encourages empowerment and all funds that are donated go towards the Zimbali Rotary Club.
