Kids have a way of pushing parents to their limits. However, some parents have a special flair for teaching their kids life lessons in outrageous ways.

From public shaming to confiscating all their privileges, parents often act in extremes.

It's like the recent trend that revealed a new type of 'mother', the type 'C' mom—a mix of type A (more inclined to order and planning) and type B (open to flexibility and spontaneity) moms. As parents, we're always looking for new ways to normalise our approach to parenting.

A way of rationalising why we do what we do.

A father made an epic effort to teach his daughter a lesson about her choice of clothing. He was not happy with the length of her shorts and decided to act on it.

Many parents turn to action when words don't work. This is a classic example of how some parents can go to extremes when trying to teach their kids a lesson.

We think the daughter got the message, or maybe we are confusing it with shock. Take a look at the video below from Instagram.

It's true fathers do have a way of embarrassing their daughters in the most creative ways. But do you think that these extremes hold value in teaching their kids a lesson?

Watch the video below from YouTube. It shows clinical psychologist and wisdom teacher Dr. Shefali Tsabary speaking about conscious parenting.
