VIDEO: TMO awards first ever own try!
The Sydney Stars were attacking their try line against North Harbour Rays last night when Rays prop Mitch Lewis managed to wrestle away the ball.
On defence, Lewis then placed the ball back over the tryline for a team mate to pick up and hopefully kick to touch.
As he was unable to see what had happened, the referee then called for assistance from the TMO.
After watching it a number of times, the TMO advised the referee to award a try to the Stars!
The Stars went on to win the match 49 - 40.
We have seen a number of blunders on the sports field, but The Drive Team agrees unanimously that this must be one of the clumsiest.
