VIDEO: Riaan Cruywagen makes a musical comeback!
According to producer, Marlise Scheepers, the video took all of 24 hours to put together.
The song titled, n Beige Ford Cortina even features legends Riaan Cruywagen and Mariëtta Kruger (remember her!).
On her website called sjefsnoekie, Scheepers says she never expected the huge response the video has received.
The video has been on YouTube for just over two days and already has almost 25 000 views.
The lyrics are all in Afrikaans, but trust us, whether or not you understand them, you will be singing along by the second chorus.
"Met die beige Ford Cortina moet ons Margate toe jaag...!" [We need to get the beige Ford Cortina to Margate...!]
If you do not understand Afrikaans, the basic premise of the song is that the beige Ford Cortina is on bricks.
It has all sorts of problems: Is it the fan belt? Is it the head gasket? And, will they make it to Margate on time?
