The spate of brutal attacks in the Upper Highway Area has reached alarming proportions. Security Companies have reported 150 attacks in a single month - where's the police action?
The Upper Highway Area has come under the spotlight with the spate of brutal home invasions increasing considerably in recent months.
I chatted to some of the victims, perhaps the most heart-wreching being Teri Carlson, whose fiance was shot dead during an attack.
Unfortunately, hers is just one of innumerable stories of this kind of brutality.
Private Investigator, Brad Natanson has teamed up with the K9 Unit in Hillcrest to form an action team to address this scourge. They have already arrested the two suspects in the murder case and are positive that the third will be arrested soon.
The SAPS seem to be talking at cross purposes. Spokesman Vincent Mdunge says there's no cause for alarm, but KZN Police Commissioner MMamonye Ngobeni has set up a task team to address this issue.
But when pressed for stats, she avoids the issue completely!
