Romeo and Juliet was fun!

Romeo and Juliet was fun!

This time of the year not only means it’s the Festive Season – it also means it’s adult pantomime time, and this year it’s … Romeo and Juliet: An East Coast Story.

The show is always a huge laugh and this year it’s no different.
A story that everyone knows with a litlle bit of a twist, some good old sing along songs like “I wanna hold your hand” “Going to the chapel” and “Let’s twist again” and of course the ever popular risque one-liners.
Writen and directed by the extremely talented Darren King the show is set right here in Durban in the late 1950`s

The show is very cleverly put together with lots of humour, local references and all the usual fun and games that go with the adult panto.

This year, the show also boasts a superb cast.
Romeo and Juliet themselves, played by Jacobus van Heerden and Katy Moore. Chubby from Chubby security (Rowan Bartlett)
Anita, the shop girl from the Garlicks store (Anthony Stonier)
Tye Balt, a surfer dude from Toti (Clinton Small) and Gladys – Juliet’s nurse (Thomie Holthausen);

Romeo and Juliet – an East Coast Story runs at The Zone, Suncoast Casino until December 31. Shows are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm; Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are R150. Doors open 90 minutes before for diners. No under-16s and booking through Computicket.
