Rock band Simple Minds wrote this song as a tribute on Madiba’s 70th birthday in 1988 for the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute, a concert held at Wembley Stadium, London.
The concert was held as an expression of solidarity for Mandela, who was still in prison.
