PHOTOS: Expats head to the polls!
Updated | By Rory Petzer
South African expats living all over the world headed to the polls today to cast their votes. We received several photographs of the action in London this morning, courtesy of Debby Thomas.
South Africans living abroad have been casting their votes - a week before those living here go to the polls.
The IEC says over 26 000 people successfully registered earlier this year.
London has the highest number of expatriate registered voters at almost 10-thousand, followed by Dubai with just over 15-hundred.
We decided to contact a few of our friends this morning - one of which - Debby Thomas responded, very happy to share her photos and experience with us.
Debby says the vibe in the queue was electric with South Africans singing together and sharing typically South African treats like koeksisters.
Well done to all who made the effort. We are proud of you.
