X Factor New Zealand judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon verbally attacked contestant Joe Irvine during a recent episode of the reality show.
After Irvine performed Michael Buble's Cry Me a River, the two judges - who are married - launched into a vicious rant, tearing his singing - and appearance - apart.
Kills called Irvine a "laughing stock" while Moon compared him to fictional murderer Norman Bates from the novel Psycho.
The incident sparked outrage among viewers, with many saying it looked like Irvine was going to cry during the ordeal.
The two judges have since been fired.
