So I was lucky enough recently to get my grubby little paws on the new Samsung GALAXY Tab 3  10.1 inch…

And I say grubby paws because that’s exactly what I was concerned about, seeing as this was my first experience with a total touch screen interface.

Not that it mattered. Look I’m not going to judge my whole experience of this amazing tablet, which is pretty amazing by the way, just because it could handle my fat, too often grubby paws.

Let's get the basics out the way.

It’s Samsung’s latest offering in the full 10.1 inch tablet department and it’s got lots of kick coming from its 16 GHZ dual core processor – it’s WIFI and 3g and two cameras, a 3mb in the back and a 1.3 mb selfie taker in the front.

Don’t act like you don’t care that it can take selfies.

Because you do.

My domestic even used it to adjust her hair and make up – so yeah, it’s important…

It’s got one hell of a bright and intensive screen and movie watching is amazing on it. I could tell you that I sat at night once for several hours watching Suits and I fell asleep before it did, oh wait. Nevermind…

It’s got great sound (Dolby Surround included) - with different setting for movies and music and the quality of the microphone is amazing – I downloaded a guitar tuner and it’s so accurate that it’s almost annoying. Almost.

It runs on the Android Jelly Bean OS – which is fast, fun and easy to use and there are a million million apps to choose from.

It has magnetic, accelerometer and light readers as sensors which make for amazing pick up of action – oh and when you look away from it, it shuts down. Now that can get annoying, trust me – so check the function on or off if you get distracted easily… Oh and if you don’t like subtitles  - the subtitles appear at the start of every series episode. Every. Episode.

I have the 32 gig memory which also allows an SD upgrade of 64gigs  - and it’s got some brains – 1 gig of ram. So it’s no slouch there either. It weighs half a kg and fits into every corner for travel, boredom during meetings and in my case, ease of use as I produce. I carry it around like a newborn, and can manage a multitude of tasks from internet browsing, audio checking and prep work on the go.
It beats my laptop – and that is a very, very hard thing to say.

I am gonna own up and say it… I think I have: #Samsungsavvy !
