Wales far too strong for Uruguay
Updated | By Sport24
Wales easily defeated minnows Uruguay by 54 - 9 in a Pool A clash at the Millennium Stadium.

They now are level on points with England after securing a bonus point on the stroke of half-time. They top Pool A however on points difference.
As it happened: Wales v Uruguay
Although Uruguay started off very well moving into a 6-0 lead, the Welsh soon began to exert their dominance on their less fancied rivals with centre Corey Allen scoring a first-half hat-trick after the first Welsh try had come through tighthead prop, Samson Lee. Flyhalf Rhys Priestland converted all four tries.
Wales went into the break with a 28-9 lead.
In the second-half the home side continued to dominate. A concern however, will be the injury suffered by hat-trick hero, Cory Allen. He left the field in the 55th minute.
Wales scored a further four tries in the half through Hallam Amos, Justin Tipuric and Gareth Davis, who scored a brace. Rhys Priestland managed to add three conversions.
