VIDEO: Shark chomps geelbek

Mak had a kingfish gobbled off Umdloti, while I had both a pike and a tuna taken by sharks.

My latest encounter with sharks was during Quattro King of the Sea in May.

We had two fish taken by spinner sharks off Shelly Beach.

Both sharks cleared the ocean surface and we hooked the second one.

A brief contest was ended when the spinner bit through the nylon.

Mak also hooked the shark off Umdloti and it too bit through his line.

Alain Tardin, another member of the Sportswave team, was left with little more than a tuna head back in December.

He too was taxed by a shark off Umdloti.

Today we share footage shot off Umhlanga Rocks.

The anglers are fishing for geelbek and end up getting a visit from the taxman.
