VIDEO: Missed cricket catches

The likes of Jonty Rhodes, Ricky Ponting, Michael Hussey and Faf du Plessis have certainly raised the fielding bar over the past two decades.

I also recall some fine slip catching from Jacques Kallis, Brian McMillan and Rahul Dravid.

However, modern cricketers do have their poor moments in the field.

Our footage today includes a howler from Hussey.

I sure hope the South African fielders will avoid a similar mishap during the first one-day international against West Indies in Durban today.

AB de Villiers will keep wicket for the Proteas at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead.

Chris Gayle is expected to be fit for the first of five ODIs.
