VIDEO: Kingfish at Orange Rocks
Updated | By Andre Bloem
Yesterday we showed you garrick fishing action from Orange Rocks on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.

Today we visit Orange Rocks again and this time blacktip kingfish is on the menu.
These fish tend to fight differently to garrick.
They are both powerful fighters, but kingfish are dirtier in that they look to cut you off on the rocks.
I remember hooking and losing several kingfish to the rocks at Brighton Beach on the Bluff.
I suspect a similar challenge exists for anglers targeting kingfish at Orange Rocks.
I think it will be very difficult to catch a really big kingfish at this venue.
The one on our menu today is not the biggest and yet still gave the angler a serious battle.
