VIDEO: Fishing on the double

Mark de la Hey and Brad Arthur of FreeSpool hooked garrick almost simultaneously off Zinkwazi.

Both fish were landed and safely released.

I can recall several such double strikes to which I was a witness.

I was once on a boat where all four of us were hooked into Natal snoek at the same time.

We landed three of the four fish, while one got away when the hooked pulled next to the boat.

You may also recall a far more rare event I have shared on this page.

It saw two anglers hooking the same fish.

The prodigal son snapped up both their baits within in seconds and they ended up landing the same fish with both their hooks in its mouth.

One of those anglers was Captain Blair Wiggins and he features again on the Sportswave page today.
