VIDEO: Estuary fishing for grunter
Updated | By Staff Writer

There was a permanent link between the ocean and the estuary back then and many fish species entered both the estuary and the lake to feed and breed.
The link between ocean and estuary was broken several years ago and this type of fishing was no longer possible when I last visited St Lucia in 2011.
This form of fishing can still be done at places such as Knysna and the Breede River.
I also believe that some fish are entering the Umgeni at Blue Lagoon. The link between ocean and river at this Durban spot has been pretty consistent for a number of years now.
However, let us have a look at a sure bet today.
I recently shared awesome garrick fishing footage from Knysna and will now turn the spotlight on the Breede River in the Western Cape.
