Summer in KZN is a good time for dorado fishing.
These colourful creatures are awesome fighters and make for a tasty meal.
You may recall a dorado settling the East Coast Radio Breakfast v Drive Fishing Challenge back in December 2013.
I was a member of the Drive team that caught a 7kg dorado near the cargo ships anchored off Umhlanga.
This past weekend Jason Pretorius caught a nice dorado off Ballito.
Pretorius was on a fishing kayak and seemed destined for a nice fresh fish supper.
However, he was reminded the hard way of just how acrobatic a dorado can be.
