VIDEO: Catching grouper shallow
Updated | By Staff Writer

You may recall my battle with a yellowfin tuna during this competition last year.
I lost the fish right next to the boat while fishing on the Protea Banks off Shelly Beach.
The 2014 edition of Quattro King of the Sea produced some very nice tuna, bonito, couta and Natal snoek.
I remember also that no wahoo were caught during the competition last year.
I also came across a number of spinner sharks during my tuna pursuit and two of them cleared the ocean surface in hitting either hooked fish or sardines drifted in pursuit of gamefish.
I hope to have loads of photos and hopefully tuna or couta success to share with you from Quattro 2015.
I drew blanks in all three my competitive fishing outings to date and it is a stat I would really like to change soon.
Captain Blair Wiggins is a fisherman who has won tournaments and in our footage today you can see him somewhat surprised in his pursuit of shallow water grouper off the US state of Florida.
You can contact [email protected] to enter Quattro King of the Sea scheduled for 23 and 24 May 2015.
