VIDEO: Catching big tuna from a kayak
I remember my former colleague, Alain Tardin, enjoying a tuna feast off Umhlanga last year.
Tardin caught and released four tuna in the space of two hours.
He was fishing off a kayak at the time.
I still have not caught a tuna.
I have had two taken by sharks and lost another right next to the boat during the 2014 Quattro King of the Sea contest.
I did catch a bonito during Quattro this year and I guess a bonito does look similar to a tuna in some ways.
Today we focus on yellowfin tuna and it is a beauty caught off Durban.
Yet again the angler had to cope with a shark in the process.
