VIDEO: Cape Vidal fishing competition
Dads took on their sons in a recent fishing competition at Cape Vidal.
Evidence suggests that shad was the main species caught as fathers and sons went head to head on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast.
I have been to Cape Vidal before, but have never fished at this famous spot.
I heard last week of wahoo success off the Zululand coast and I wonder if the Freespool team will be heading up there soon.
You may recall my excellent day of garrick fishing in their company off Zinkwazi in July last year.
I hope to hit the waves soon for some fishing as it has been several months since my last outing on the Indian Ocean.
