VIDEO: Big fish from a bridge

An angler goes to great heights in pursuit of his catch.

This fishing is from a bridge in the Florida Keys in the southeastern USA.

The catch is known as a permit and reminds me very much of the pompano we catch here in KZN.

Permit tend to feed on crab, shrimp and small fish.

My research suggests that permits can weigh up to 36kgs.
