Usuthu part ways with boss Truter
Updated | By Nick Tatham
AmaZulu have announced that the club has parted ways with
manager Brandon Truter just nineteen matches into his managerial term with Usuthu.
Truter joined the Durban-based side following the departure of Benni McCarthy from the club and throughout the season they have battled to gain momentum with three wins and four losses from their campaign so far.
In a statement on the club’s website they talk about the reasoning behind the departure.
“He has impressed since taking over the reins following the departure of Benni McCarthy in March,” the statement said. “However, the current season has proved difficult, and the team has recorded just three DStv Premiership wins.
“Truter’s record is as follows: 19 games, seven wins, seven draws, and five losses. We thank him for his cooperation and hard work for the club and wish him luck in his future career.”
AmaZulu fell to a one-nil loss to fellow KZN outfit Richards Bay on Wednesday night which proved to be the final straw for Truter.
A replacement for the former Swallows boss hasn’t been confirmed.
AmaZulu play in the DSTV Premiership again on 14 October against Orlando Pirates.
