Umhlanga to host huge surfing spectacle
The event forms part of the UMHLANGA SUMMER CARNIVAL and opens up the season’s calendar of events.
The Surf contest looks set to be a grand affair with close on R50 000 on offer in prizes and give aways. Both surfers and beachgoers will be treated to many interesting surprises and treats for the duration of the weekend.

It’s going to be a beautiful warm day in Durban with light winds this morning swinging to variables later. The sea conditions are settled right now and there isn’t too much swell around. It’s a great morning to go for a surfski paddle, SUP, swim or beach walk. The surface conditions are great for diving but you will need to check the viz in your area after all of the rain we experienced last week.
