India are replying to the West Indies first innings effort of 182 in Mumbai.
Sachin Tendulkar, playing his 200th and last Test match, is 38 not out.
Kieran Powell had earlier top scored for West Indies with 48.
Pragyan Ojha was the most successful home bowler.
The spinner took five for 40.
India lead the series 1-0.
