Sharks keep Super Rugby hopes alive

The Cell C Sharks are still in the hunt for Vodacom Super
Rugby glory this season. The Durban outfit defeated the Jaguares 20-10 in
Durban to secure their spot in the play-offs.

The Sharks will travel to New Zealand for their knock-out fixture against the Crusaders in Christchurch.
Hooker Akker van der Merwe and Kobus van Wyk both scored tried for the Sharks at Jonsson Kings Park tonight.
Flyhalf Robert du Preez landed two conversions and two penalties.
The Sharks finished the 2018 Vodacom Super Rugby competition in 8th place on the overall log – with 36 points.
The other South African franshise in the play-offs is the Johannesburg-based Lions. The Lions finished second overall and took top honours in the South African conference with 46 points.
The Sharks won seven of their 16 matches this season, losing eight and drawing one.
They ended the season with a points difference of -5.
