Sharks bow out of Currie Cup
Updated | By Gareth Jenkinson
The Cell C Sharks bowed out of the Currie Cup on Saturday, after drawing 34-all with the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

The Sharks had secured a two-try, 14 point lead in the second half of the match but a late surge by the hosts saw them run in two tries of their own to draw score levels at the death.
The Sharks needed to win the match to progress to the semifinals but it was not to be. The Free State managed to defend their fourth-place spot on the Currie Cup log.
That means the Lions will host the Cheetahs in the first semifinal, while the Blue Bulls will welcome Western Province to Loftus Versveld in the second playoff.
The Sharks ended up winning four games, losing five and drawing one to end up fifth on the log.
