SA surfer beaten in Aussie final
South African ladies surfer, Bianca Buitendag, has ended second at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast in Australia.
Aussie, Stephanie Gilmore, beat Buitendag in the final earlier today.
Gabriel Medina was crowned champion at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast.
Joel Parkinson had to settle for the runner-up spot.
Medina had earlier defeated defending world champion, Mick Fanning, in the Gold Coast quarter-finals.
Kelly Slater also lost in the quarter-finals.
He was ousted by Adriano de Souza.
Durban surfer, Travis Logie, was eliminated in the third round, while Jordy Smith lost in the Gold Coast second round.
