Chanelle Scheepers is out of the Australian Open tennis tournament.
The South African has lost in first round action in Melbourne.
Yvonne Meusburger of Austria defeated Scheepers 7-6 6-4 on Tuesday.
Kevin Anderson will face an Austrian in the Melbourne second round tomorrow.
Anderson will be up against Dominic Thiem.
Anderson is ranked 21st in the world and Thiem 137th.
Meanwhile, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both advanced to the second round in Melbourne today.
Others to survive the first round include Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki.
