Updated | By Sport24
The Proteas have defeated India by 214 runs in the fifth and final one-day international played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, winning the series 3-2 in the process.
This is the first time the Proteas have won a one-day series in India.
Needing 439 to win, India showed some early fight but as the run-rate climbed, wickets fell with regularity. Kagiso Rabada (4/41) and Dale Steyn (3/38) were the standout bowlers for the visitors.
Earlier, the Proteas amassed a massive 438/4 with Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers all scoring brilliant centuries.
