Pitso: Something must be done about the poor standard of refereeing in the PSL
Updated | By Sky Tshabalala
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is blaming referee Daniel Bennet for his side's shock 2-1 loss to Amazulu in the ABSA Premiership.
The Brazilians suffered their third defeat in the league this season against Usuthu and remain outside the top 8.
After going ahead through Thokozani Sekotlong in the first half, the Brazilians were shocked when Usuthu hit back through Siyabonga Nomvethe and Mabhudi Khenyeza to leave Downs still without a league win at home this season.
Mosimane was pleased with his teams effort but had a few things to say about match ref Daniel Bennet.
"I want to break my record of not talking about referee's, I talk now. Its very sad that Leo was brought down in the box by the goalkeeper and they didn't give a penalty, "he said.
Mosimane was particularly not happy with one of the goals scored by the Durban based side.
"Nomvethe's goal was offside, so all those things they create problems"
The man also known as Jingles says something must be done about the poor standard of refereeing in the PSL.
"When one small referee makes a mistake everybody goes to him because he is a soft target and take him out. I told you last time that the big boys no one touches them."
