PHOTO: Richards Bay garrick success
Updated | By Andre Bloem

A fisherman landed a big garrick in Richards Bay harbour over the past weekend.
Lynton Premlall caught this magnificent 16.8 kg specimen at Shaky Rocks.
Garrick can reach up to 1.5 metres in length and are often caught on live shad on the KZN coast.
They are also found in estuaries and are a popular target for anglers in the Knysna lagoon.
We are in for another warm day in Durban with a high of 31 degrees, clear skies and sunshine. Once again we have northerly winds forecast this morning swinging to NEs of 14 knots this afternoon. This will mean choppy sea conditions later.
With an easterly swell direction there may be some bowl waves around for surfers, but nothing too special.
