National First Division side Amazulu have completed the signing of former Bafana Bafana striker Siyabonga Nomvethe.
The man known by the name of 'Bhele' became the second AmaZulu signing completed in the 2016 January transfer window as Usuthu General Manager, Lunga Sokhela, welcomed the experienced striker to the KZN club’s offices on Sunday evening.
Nomvethe joins on a six-month deal just a few days following the capture of left-winger Sbusiso Hadebe’s services.
“AmaZulu is happy to confirm that Bhele has arrived. More than half the season remains and his contribution will be immense,” said Sokhela.
The 38-year-old KwaMashu-born striker has had a long and illustrious career in South African football and will be expected to hit the ground running to contribute towards the ambition of the club to gain promotion back to the elite league.
AmaZulu are set to complete a few more signings this week.
They lost 2-0 to NFD leaders, Baroka FC, over the past weekend.
