No top 8 spot for Amazulu
Amazulu have failed to secure an Absa Premiership top 8 spot.
Kaizer Chiefs thumped Usuthu 3-0 in league action this afternoon.
Katlego Mphela, Eric Mathoho and Kingston Nkhatha netted for Amakhosi.
Amazulu started the final day seventh in the standings.
However, there were wins for both Supersport United and Platinum Stars today.
They ended seventh and eighth respectively.
Polokwane City finished second-from-bottom and will have to contest the play-offs.
Supersport beat Polokwane 4-2 today, while Free State Stars drilled Moroka Swallows 3-0 to ensure their survival.
Golden Arrows, bottom and relegated, lost 3-1 to Orlando Pirates in Durban.
