Moyes leaves Manchester United

The club confirmed this morning that Moyes had vacated his post.

United thanked Moyes for his hard work and honesty.

Moyes joined the club from Everton and replaced club legend Alex Ferguson.

Moyes, a Scot like Ferguson, signed a 6-year contract.

Ryan Giggs will take over from Moyes on an interim basis.

The Red Devils are currently seventh in the English Premier League standings.

They will play their next league match on Saturday night.

That is when United will host Norwich City.

Kickoff is at 18h30 - South African time.
