Serena and Venus Williams have both cruised into the US Open fourth round. Serena thumped Johanna Larsson 6-2 6-1 in their third round clash last night.

Venus crushed Laura Siegemund 6-2 6-1 in another third round showdown.
Also through to the fourth round are Simona Halep, Andy Murray, Stanislas Wawrinka and Juan Martin del Potro.
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are both scheduled for fourth round action in New York later today.
Nadal has a date with Lucas Pouille, while Djokovic will be up against Kyle Edmund.

Cell C Sharks remain top of the Currie Cup log.
This despite their 34-27 loss to Western Province last night.
The Sharks are a point clear of the Free State Cheetahs at the summit.
The Sharks will host the Cheetahs in Durban this coming Saturday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 17h00.

Elton Jantjies and Francois Hougaard are both back in training with the Springboks.
Jantjies and Hougaard have shaken their respective injuries.
The Boks will face the Wallabies in a Rugby Championship match in Brisbane this Saturday.
The game is set to start at 12h05 - South African time.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a doubt for the Manchester derby in the English Premier League this coming Saturday.
The Manchester United star has suffered an injury while on international duty with Armenia.
United will host Manchester City at Old Trafford.
England, meanwhile, will play a World Cup qualifier in Slovakia later today.
The match is due to start at 18h00 this evening - South African time.
England manager, Sam Allardyce, has confirmed his team to face Slovakia.
It includes eight of the players who started the Euro 2016 loss to Iceland.
John Stones, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana have replaced Chris Smalling, Dele Alli and Daniel Sturridge.

Carlo Ancelotti says he could never coach the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan or Lazio.
This because of his spells at Real Madrid, AC Milan and AS Roma.
Ancelotti says he simply has too much respect for traditional rivalries.

Lewis Hamilton will start the Italian Formula One Grand Prix in pole position.
Hamilton shares the Monza front row with Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.
Hamilton is nine points clear of Rosberg in the championship standings.
Jenson Button, meanwhile, will not be racing in Formula One next season.
He will have an ambassadorial role with McLaren and could return to racing in 2018.
Stoffel Vandoorne will partner Fernando Alonso next season.

Cal Crutchlow has secured pole position for the MotoGP of Great Britain.
Valentino Rossi is second on the Silverstone grid.

World championship leader, Marc Marquez, will start in fifth spot.
