Matfield blow for Springboks
Victor Matfield has been ruled out of the Castle Lager Rugby Championship match on 16 August.
Matfield has a small cartilage tear and is unavailable for the clash with Argentina at Loftus.
Jean de Villiers is rated doubtful for the game in Pretoria.
Eben Etzebeth and Frans Malherbe have been released from the Springbok squad.
Etzebeth and Malherbe are being allowed to play Absa Currie Cup rugby this week.
Both are returning from long-term injuries and are set to feature for DHL Western Province on Friday night.
