Manny has successful surgery

The operation was performed by orthopedist Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who said Pacquiao will make a full recovery and return to the ring.

The initial estimated time for recovery was thought to be 9-12 months but after a very successful procedure and good recovery is expected to be 4-6 months.

Pacquiao is said to have injured his shoulder in a sparring session in early April and further damage was done in Sunday morning's loss by unanimous decision to Floyd Mayweather Junior.

A rematch for Pacquiao against Mayweather is set to be on the cards after reports suggested that Mayweather is interested in fighting Pacquiao again.

Mayweather is set to fight again in September, completing the six-fight contract he signed with Showtime Productions.

British welterweight champion, Amir Khan, is believed to be Mayweather’s next opponent.
