Manchester United sign Van Gaal
Louis van Gaal is the new Manchester United manager.
Van Gaal has signed a three-year contract.
Ryan Giggs will serve as his assistant.
Van Gaal is currently coach of the Dutch national side and will be in charge at the World Cup in Brazil next month.
He is a former Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona and Bayern Munich head coach.
Van Gaal is 62.
He replaces David Moyes at Old Trafford.
Van Gaal has won league titles in Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.
He guided Ajax to the Uefa Champions League crown in 1995.
They beat AC Milan in the final.
