The SA Short Course Swimming Championships take place at the GC Jolliffe Swimming Pool in Pietermaritzburg from Thursday to Sunday this week.
The championships take place over four days with the heats starting at 09h30 and the finals at 17h00 each evening. A number of Olympians will be competing including Chad le Clos, who only arrives back in the country tomorrow after the World Cup events in Eindhoven and Berlin.
Others will be Suzaan van Biljon, Charl Crous and Leith Shankland, while the in-form Myles Brown, who broke Africa and South Africa records in the recent World Cups, will be the one to watch.
With the tournament taking place at the home of the Seals Swimming Club, organisers of the aQuelle Midmar Mile, it will coincide with the launching of their 2014 event as well as the over R1-million charity cheque hand-overs from this year's event.
