KP steps up England return bid

Surrey have confirmed the return of Kevin Pietersen to their playing squad.
Pietersen has secured a release from the majority of his IPL contract.
This means the former KZN star should be available for the start of the county championship season.
Colin Graves, incoming chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board, recently said that a return to county cricket would enhance Pietersen aspirations of a return to international cricket.
Pietersen played the last of his 104 Tests in January 2014 and has scored 8181 Test runs at an average of 47.
Pietersen has scored 23 Test centuries.
He has also represented England in 136 one-day internationals and 37 T20 matches.
