The Clever Boys are a point behind Cape Town City FC.

However, Wits have played two games less that the league leaders.

Wits head coach, Gavin Hunt, has again been linked with the current Bafana Bafana head coach vacancy.

Hunt has admitted that he is tired of the Bafana talk.

"You know it looks like they have made a decision. It does not concern me. I have two many other problems going on. I am tired of this. It has been going on for years. It started in 2010 and so it has been seven years. I am concentrating on what I have to do right now. If I get the job one day, then I will worry about it," Hunt said.

Sundowns have endured a barren recent run in the ABSA Premiership. They have taken just two points from their last four matches. The slump does not surprise Hunt.

"I am not really surprised. You know they have been to hell and back over the last couple of months. Sometimes it takes its toll and maybe that is why they are battling right now. I still think they are good enough and strong enough to bounce back. They have a good enough squad and I am sure they will be there at the end," Hunt added.

Hunt does not believe that Sundowns are the title favourites.

"There are no favourites. Four teams can win the title this season. It is going to be a close run-in. With every game there is a chop-and-change in position. Everybody is favourites. Four teams can win it. That is for sure," Hunt said.

Hunt has found the league season somewhat frustrating to date.

"I will be happy if I manage to keep my strongest XI out there. That has been the biggest problem you know. We just have to do our best during this period and try to get the best XI out on the pitch," Hunt said.

Hunt feels he still has a lot of work to do at Wits.

"There is something wrong with a coach who is happy with his team. We are never happy and always want to improve in every area. That is what we strive for and work for daily," Hunt concluded.
