Federer shocked in New York

Roger Federer is out of the US Open.

Federer, chasing a sixth title at Flushing Meadow, lost in the fourth round yesterday.

Tommy Robredo shocked Federer 7-6 6-3 6-4.

Rafael Nadal won his fourth round outing in New York.

Nadal beat Philipp Kohlschreiber in four sets.

Also through to the quarter-finals are David Ferrer, Roberta Vinci and Richard Gasquet.
