They then raided the property in St. Tropez in the South of France, stealing jewellery.
It is thought the Formula One star and Jessica could have been gassed while they were asleep on Monday night.
Police believe the thieves may have pumped gas through the air conditioning unit first to knock them out.
Sky News reports that they may not have not have known until the morning when they realised the villa had been ransacked and that Jessica's five carat engagement ring worth a reported 250 000 pounds had been stolen.
It is thought that the burglars may even have been in the room with them.
