Chippa United and Sundowns have drawn goalless in MTN 8 semi-final first leg action. Chippa hosted the Brazilians in Port Elizabeth this afternoon. Bidvest Wits thumped Cape Town City 3-0 in their semi-final first leg clash last night.

There will be action in the Absa Premiership this coming Tuesday night.
The menu includes a fixture between Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town in Cape Town.

Amazulu have beaten Cape Town All Stars 1-0 in the National First Division.
Veteran striker, Siyabonga Nomvethe, scored the Amazulu winner.

Dani Pedrosa has won the MotoGP of San Marino.
Valentino Rossi ended second this afternoon.
Jorge Lorenzo was third and Marc Marquez fourth.
Maverick Vinales completed the top five in San Marino.
Marquez is top of the world championship standings.
He is 43 points clear of Rossi who is second.

Novak Djokovic has won 19 of his 23 career meetings with Stanislas Wawrinka.
Djokovic and Wawrinka will contest the US Open final in New York later today.
Wawrinka beat Djokovic in the French Open final last year.

SA surfer, Jordy Smith, is through to the quarter-finals at the Hurley Pro.
Smith won a fourth round heat also featuring Kelly Slater and Michel Bourez.
Slater has a fifth round date with Kolohe Andino.
Others through to the quarter-finals are Filipe Toledo, Tanner Gudauskas and Alex Ribeiro.
Mick Fanning was eliminated in the third round in California.

Willem Alberts is back in the Springbok squad.
Alberts has been summoned with Lood de Jager ruled out for around two weeks.
De Jager hurt his knee during the loss to the Wallabies in Brisbane yesterday.
Alberts, currently at Stade Francais, has made 38 Test appearances.
New Zealand will host South Africa in the Rugby Championship this coming Saturday.
Faf de Klerk and Johan Goosen also picked up injuries in Brisbane.
Right now they are both doubtful for the clash with the All Blacks.
Cell C Sharks have a home game in the Currie Cup this Saturday.
They will host the EP Kings in a game starting at 3pm.
The Sharks are second in the Currie Cup standings.

Kell Brook needs eye surgery following his stoppage loss to Gennady Golovkin last night.
Brook, who entered the fight undefeated, suffered a fractured eye socket in the defeat.
Golovkin retained his WBC and IBF middleweight belts with the title fight stopped in round five.

Golovkin has won all 36 his professional bouts.
