Els four shots off the pace at US PGA
Ernie Els shot a first round 66 to finish four shots off the pace last night at the US PGA Travellers Championships.
The Big Easy is the highest placed South African after the opening round.
Bubba Watson shot a first round 66 to finish at 8 under par - securing a two shot lead over his closest competitors.
Noh Seung-Yul, Keegan Bradley, Brian Stuard, Harris English, Jason Gore are all tied in second place.
Branden Grace is the next best South African at 3 under par.
