Sharks lock, Stephan Lewies, who has a chronic knee problem but may be ready by the end of the week should he be passed fit.
Jacques Botes has a SC joint sprain but will also be subjected to a fitness test to ascertain his availability in this game.
Kickoff in Durban is at 2pm on Saturday.
The Sharks are third in the standings, while the Kings are bottom and still without a victory in the Currie Cup this season.
