Double blow for Springboks
Flip van der Merwe and Tendai "Beast" Mtawarira have been ruled out of the Test against Scotland at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
Van der Merwe suffered knee cruciate ligament damage in the 31-30 win over Wales in Nelspruit last weekend and will be out for at least four weeks.
Mtawarira is struggling with a bulging disc in his neck and will see a specialist.
Willem Alberts needs to pass a concussion test before being cleared to play against the Scots.
