The idea is to use Africa as a platform to expose new audiences to the game of cricket, with the aim of spreading the sport across the continent.

Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and hosts South Africa, will participate in the African Sixes challenge.

Meanwhile the KwaZulu-Natal side Sunfoil Dolphins, Cape Cobras, Chevrolet Knights, Chevrolet Warriors, Unlimited Titans, and the Lions, are taking part in the franchise sixes challenge currently underway in Gauteng.
