City start defence at Magpies

Manchester United have a home game on the opening weekend.

Arsenal will be at home to London rivals Crystal Palace, while Liverpool will meet Southampton at Anfield in their first league outing of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur, like Arsenal, will start their season with a London derby.

Spurs will see action at West Ham United.

Chelsea will be up against Burnley.

The new English Premiership season will get underway on 16 August.
